Curving beds on a small city lot, planted and loved over a 40-year period. Plantings include approximately 300 daylilies of all types, one-third of which are historical varieties (cultivars registered in 1993 and before.) Extensive
shade garden areas, with 100 varieties of Hosta, including a special planter with miniature varieties on the back deck. Other shade loving plants such
as ferns, heuchera, brunnera, bleeding hearts, and astilbes. Variety of ornamental trees and shrubs, including a miniature gingko, pink and white dogwoods, pruned tree-shaped Rose of Sharon, a Japanese maple and a mature Tri-color Beech. Native plants scattered about the sunny areas of
the yard to encourage pollinators. Assorted summer annuals planted to increase seasonal color.
