More about the garden:

Kurt and Janet’s garden, which is set in the middle of the country, was one of the host gardens for the 2021 National Convention in Hattiesburg, MS. Currently, they have over 400 daylilies in all forms but the number is increasing with each gardening season. Kurt has recently started hybridizing as well. Janet is a judge for daylily shows and balances life in their gardens with traveling to judge at the shows.

Most of the gardens are raised beds. There is one notable triangular bed that is filled entirely with “H. Surburban Nancy Gayle”, making it a breathtaking sight when in bloom.

Kurt and Nancy continue to create more garden space and add improvements as they see them. Many of the plants in Nancy’s garden are very nice mature specimens, allowing the plants to show off to their full potential.
