King's Royal Daylily Court
More about the garden:
This garden is a wonderful example of using colors with the daylilies and texture with companion plants to make a big impact in a small garden setting. A beautiful redwood archway and door opens and leads to the garden behind the home. The daylilies have iris, hostas and various ornamental shrubs as neighbors and a series of meandering paths wind through the beds allowing visitors to view the many flowers. Annuals in pots adorn the steps of the large deck that overlooks the backyard. An area is being developed to include seedlings for a small hybridizing venture.
The front of the home has a collection of hardy hibiscus and various ornamental grasses around the house. Passion flowers adorn trellises that are near the entrance to the house. The gardens continue to be expanded each year.
