More about the garden:

There are more than 400 daylilies on display at the Pruhonice Botanical Garden.

The garden was founded in 1963.  The collection of daylilies was started in 1970 and by 1995, there were over 200 plants on display. The display was open to the public to view in 2009.  All the cultivars are arranged in chronological order.

In 2010, a new bed was added that highlighted only daylilies from Czech hybridizer origin.  It is located in the central meadow and is arranged by hybridizer name.

The Botanical garden also grows 14 species daylilies.
