Wanda's Country Gardens
More about the garden:
My garden is located five miles south of Paragould, AR on two acres of our family farm. I have lived in this home for over 50 years and my garden includes well established shade trees, nut and fruit trees, and many perennials. I also plant several bulbs and annuals each year. I began growing daylilies in 1992 with 6 different cultivars (I still have Pandora’s Box and Condilla). My gardens now include over 1,100 cultivars from many hybridizers – growing small to large flowers including spiders, minis, and everything in between. More than half of my daylily beds are raised and I have a large berm bed.
I truly love my daylilies and enjoy meeting other growers and hybridizers when I attend national, state, regional, and local daylily meetings. Having others visit my garden is always such a joy. Being a display garden is an honor. I feel it helps people find my gardens for a tour. I’ve been able to be a host to both my Master Gardeners’ group and the NEA Daylily society, who also held brown bag luncheon. Many other individuals and families stop in for visits as well.
