Bledsoe Daylily Garden

Region 15

Bledsoe Daylily Gardens are located in Vale, North Carolina. The gardens are spread over two homesites and designated as the upper garden and the lower garden. Consisting of over 600 different cultivars and well over a thousand clumps of daylilies, displayed with hundreds of other plants, each June the gardens burst into an explosion of colors.

The gardens are maintained by Buster, Terry and Jill Bledsoe with help from their daughter Carrie Yousef. Buster celebrated his 91st birthday this year and still works diligently to make sure the gardens are in great shape.

The gardens are open to visitors once a year, usually the week of June 20th. Visitors are welcome to stroll both gardens and golf carts are available to take those with walking difficulties. A log cabin on the site is also open for visitors to tour.
