Lambert/Webster Award

The Lambert/Webster Award is presented annually to the most outstanding unusual form daylily, as selected by AHS Garden Judges.

Established by the AHS Board of Directors, this bronze medal award was created to encourage interest in and advancement of unusual form daylilies—cultivars whose petal characteristics place them outside the Spider classification. The award also honors the contributions of two pioneering hybridizers in this field: John Lambert, whose work advanced unusual forms in diploid daylilies, and Richard Webster, who helped develop unusual forms in tetraploid daylilies.

The recipient is determined by a vote of AHS Garden Judges who have observed eligible cultivars in the garden.
