Steve Moldovan Mentoring

Established in 2007, the Steve Moldovan Mentoring Award honors the memory of hybridizer Steve Moldovan and his lifelong commitment to mentoring others within the daylily community. The award recognizes individuals who exemplify the spirit of guidance, encouragement, and education that Steve demonstrated throughout his life.

Nominations may be submitted by any AHS member. Serving members of the AHS Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration. Nominees may be recognized for mentoring new hybridizers, supporting youth involvement in daylilies, assisting local daylily clubs, or making other significant contributions through mentorship.

Nominations must be received by the Awards and Honors Chair no later than September 1. The AHS Board of Directors reviews all nominations at its annual Fall Board Meeting and may present the award to an individual whose mentoring efforts reflect the values and example established by Steve Moldovan.

The award consists of an engraved medallion presented by a representative of Region 2 at the following AHS National Convention.
