Montgomery Botanical Gardens at Oak Park

The Daylily Garden at Montgomery Botanical Gardens just completed a second expansion of the daylily bed at the request of MBG.  Montgomery Area Daylily Society members, once again, voted for this latest expansion.  We have a workday in the bed once a month, although some members go more often to ensure that the Display Garden is always in peak form. We have been fortunate to have a majority of the 100 cultivars in the Display Garden donated by MADS members, Region 14 hybridizers, Huntsville Botanical Gardens in AL, and even daylily friends on the Robin.  The club chose to have only Region 14 hybridizers featured in this Display Garden.  Oliver Billingslea, a MADS members, has done an excellent job of selecting which daylilies to feature and which companion plants are needed to add additional color.

In January, 2022, the garden was featured in a post for the International Garden of the week.  It was also the focus of an article in the Region 14 ADS publication, The Dixie Daylily.
