More about the garden:
Oakes Daylilies started as a hobby back in the 60’s, when Stewart and Bill Oakes tried a few daylilies and got hooked. These days, the display garden features over 800 varieties in a picturesque setting around a pond, where you’re invited to cross the arched bridge and relax in the gazebo. Spider daylilies were a favorite of Bill Oakes, and there are over 100 varieties of spiders in the garden, and there is a complete collection of Stout Medal winners on display. The gardens are open select Fridays and Saturdays in June and July, visit oakesdaylilies.com for exact dates.
