UGA – Griffin Research and Educational Garden

UGA-Griffin Research and Education Garden is located at 129 W. Ellis Rd. Griffin, GA, only 20 miles from I-75. There are several themed gardens within the Research gardens; a Rock Garden, Southern Shade Garden, Pollinator Garden, Children’s Garden, Iris Garden, as well as two daylily gardens that include Stout Medal winners and a dedicated GA daylily display garden. They have doubles, spiders, Unusual Forms, miniatures, smalls, large and XL forms. Currently, there are over 150 different cultivars with plans to add a Lennington Garden, as well as a Wizard of Oz garden to be located in the children’s section.

As you stroll along the brick garden paths you will find several spots to sit and rest with picnic tables waiting for a picnic. There is also an indoors classroom with restroom facilities. The botanical garden is easy to navigate for visitors.

The Garden is open to the public every non-holiday weekday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
