More about the garden:

Serenity Hill Garden was started by the late David Jerrell and his second wife, Barbara. When David and Barbara divorced, he later met and married Frieda Jerrell and the two of them melded his gardens with her North Carolina gardens. David passed away in 2009, leaving the gardening to Frieda. This proved to be a greater challenge than she was able to handle, and in 2019, David’s daughter, Ellie Jerrell, and Randy Cashion took the gardens over. Since then, they have been steadily working to bring the gardens back to their original glory while adding their own special touches to reflect their personal style. The koi pond was tidied up and various buildings were added to the gardens. It is a blend of new and old.
The rurally located gardens include a movie and fantasy themed bed, a witches bed with many of the Oz themed cultivars. There are more than 950 daylilies on the property. The garden is also a historical display garden.  Ellie and Randy are continuing to add more gardens to their property.
