Michelle and Pat's Garden
More about the garden:
This garden is home to over 600 daylilies, most of which are newer cultivars. The yard is also hosts other perennials and a vegetable garden on 0.7 acres. Thousands of spring time bulbs show off in the Springtime. Asiatic, trumpet, species and Orienpet lilies share the daylily gardens, adding contrasting colors and textures. Annuals are mixed in with the perennials to give splashes of color all season long. Michelle and Pat continue to transform their gardens with the goal of having only pathways to mow between their densely planted gardens. They particularly enjoy sculpted forms, including cristate, relief and pleated. Their love of taller varieties, larger flowers, color changers, and anything unusual brings added beauty to their gardens.
Future goals include adding more shrubs and trees, a large rock garden, as well as welcoming some backyard chickens. In addition, the gardens are filled with seedlings that Michelle and Pat have hybridized. Their plants are well loved, and are well mulched, fertilized and watered to bring out their best display of color during the growing season.
